ETERNEL Quality Standards
All our leather bands comply with current regulations and laws, meeting the highest quality standards. It may seem obvious when written like this, but it requires rigorous control and collaboration with the right people.
First and foremost, each band adheres to the European RoHS directive, which stands for "Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment." In simple terms, the goal is to limit the use of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. Complicated names for substances you definitely don’t want on your wrist.
And that’s not all! Our bands also comply with the European REACH regulation, which stands for "Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals," relating to chemical substances. In other words, the production of our bands does everything possible to enhance human health protection and environmental safety. This regulation establishes a unique system for the registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemical substances within the European Union.

There are also specific standards for leather, which our bands comply with:
- IUF420 standard, testing the water repellency of leather (but don’t use it as an excuse to go swimming with it—it’s meant for everyday splashes).
- NIHS 96-50 standard, testing the color resistance of bands to ultraviolet light.
- ISO 86-606 standard, testing the band’s resistance to artificial sweat (yes, humans do sweat from the wrist too).
- NF G 52 301 standard, testing the durability of leather under dry and wet friction.
- ISO 15700 standard, assessing the effect of a water droplet on the leather band.
- NF EN 20105-A03 standard, testing color fading after immersion in demineralized water.
- ISO 105-E03 standard, testing leather resistance to chlorinated water.

Finally, all our bands are:
- Water-repellent: designed to withstand accidental splashes but should not be submerged in water.
- Nickel-free to ensure excellent skin tolerance.
- Chrome-free, making the band hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly.
- Hypoallergenic, ensuring compatibility with all skin types.
Our bands are a bit like us—not perfect, but we do everything we can to make them so. Now you know everything.
